Q. What are the sizes of the Flip soft boxes when folded.
Q. How does the AD200 fit in the S Mount? I am worried that the mount will not hold the weight of the AD200. We recommend the new AD200 pro mount on Flip series.
A. The Godox AD200 is very heavy at the back of the flash due to the position of the battery. We recommend 2 clicks of the S mount to hold it in place. If you are worried that it will not be secure, please use the method that we show in the pictures below.
Q. I am worried about my expensive flash like a Profoto A1/A10 falling off of the magnetic mount. On Flip series 20/24/28
A. The magnetic mount holds the flash quite well, but we have had a couple of customers mention that when they use a drop stand or if the stand is put down hard onto a surface that the flash can detach. We include a safety strap to attach to the box which will keep the flash from hitting the ground. Please use the method that we show in the pictures below.
Q. I tightened the ring of my Flip box on to a light stand and it will not hold. On Flip series 20/24/28
A. The ring that tightens on to a light stand needs to have a certain length. The part at the top of a light stand “spigot” needs to be long enough for the ring at the bottom of the handle to grab it securely. On some light stands the spigot is too short for it fix properly. We have found all light stands from Manfrotto/Avenger will work very well. To make other light stands work you may need an extension at the top of the light stand. We recommend a simple Manfrotto adapter #119. These are inexpensive, less than $5, and will make most light stands work correctly. Please use the method that we show in the pictures below.
Q. I don’t understand the sizes?
A. SMDV is a South Korean country that uses the Metric system. You may see a box listed as a 100 or 110. We try to do the math so it is easier to understand in checkout, but the photographs of products may use the Metric size. The easiest way to figure out the sizes of these boxes is to divide the number by 25 and then multiply by 10.
100 / 25 = 4 x 10 = 40 inches

Q. What is your warranty/return policy?
A. Our warranty is 1 year and the return policy is 15 days. Please include all original packing and accessories supplied with it.
Q. When do you ship my order? Other websites say weeks.
A. We stock the full line, so we ship within 24 hours.
Q. Do you sell replacement parts?
A. Yes, we do. SMDV products are very well made, but accidents happen and after searching a lot soft box companies we found SMDV to be easy to repair. It just makes sense that a soft box should be able to be repaired as well. Let us know the SMDV product you have and we will get you a quote on the parts plus shipping.
